Project Overview
These biomorphic meshes automatically generate with the input of the scan of a hand. The patterns, shapes, and density can then be fruther customised based on a few input parameters. Thus, unique jewelry can be made with the press of a button (and a projection of their hand), that exactly matches onto the geometry of the wearer.
I successfully 3D printed molds in a wax-like material from FormLabs. In the future, I plan on furthering the devolopment by casting these patterns in metal using the Lost Wax method. Given the highly technical generation of these pieces, I enjoy the interplay of an ancient manufacturing technique and a cutting-edge AR system.
